Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays will affect office hours and services provided by the City of Gastonia. City administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 for the Christmas Day holiday. City offices will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1 for the New Year’s Day holiday.
Solid Waste
- Christmas Day: no curbside garbage, leaves or yard waste will be collected
- Thursday residents: garbage only will be collected on Thursday, December 26. No excess household trash, yard waste carts, loose yard waste, or leaves will be collected.
- New Year’s Day: no curbside garbage, leaves or yard waste collected.
- Thursday, January 2: Wednesday and Thursday garbage will be collected. No excess household trash, yard waste carts, loose yard waste, or leaves will be collected.
Transit
- No GoGastonia or ADA Paratransit Service on Wednesday, December 25 or Wednesday, January 1, 2024.
Parks and Recreation
- Community Centers will be closed December 24 and 25, and January 1.
- The Skeet & Trap Range will be closed December 24 and 25, and January 1.
- City parks will be open during regular hours.
Schiele Museum:
- Closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25.
- Regular hours on Wednesday, January 1.
