Walker E. Reid III Park- 1001 S. Marietta Street

Formal remarks at 5:30 pm. Walker E. Reid III Park honors the legacy of Gastonia's former Mayor. Gastonia City Council voted late 2023 to name the park in his honor. The park features two regulation multipurpose fields, an all-inclusive playground, two shelters, a walking track loop, and other amenities. 

Parking will be available at the park and overflow parking will be available at South Marietta Street Baptist church at 911 S. Marietta St.
