Assistant City Manager, Adrian Miller

 

As a member of the City of Gastonia’s management team, Mr. Adrian Miller has senior management oversight of the Police, Fire, Information Technology, and Human Resource Departments.

Mr. Miller brings more than 20 years of local government experience in North Carolina to his position with the City of Gastonia. He worked for the Town of Kitty Hawk, City of Hickory, and City of Belmont prior to joining the City of Gastonia in December 2022. He also served as the senior planner, assistant city manager, and city manager during his 15 years in Belmont.

A Gastonia native, he graduated from the Ashbrook High School in 1995. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1999, and he earned a Master Degree in Public Administration from James Madison University in 2002. He has completed the UNC School of Government’s Municipal Administration Course and Public Executive Leadership Academy, as well as the ICMA Williamsburg Leadership Academy. Miller is a member of the International City and County Management Association where he has achieved the Credentialed Manager status.
