The City owns and maintains seven (7) cemeteries including: Armstrong, Firestone, Hollywood, North Oakland, Oakwood, Rosehill, and Shiloh.
Grave spaces are available to City residents at Armstrong, Hollywood, Rosehill and N. Oakland Cemeteries. Contact Beth Helton below for any questions/concerns.
Purchase a Grave Space or Niche for Cremains
Grave sites are available at the Armstrong, Hollywood, Rosehill and N. Oakland Cemeteries. The City will locate available sites and once selected, will provide a form with the section, lot, and grave number. The cost of a grave site is $1200 for City Residents and $1500 for Non-City Residents and payment is made at the Utility Customer Service office located at the Garland Building, S. South Street on the first floor or to the Cemetery Administrator. If a funeral home is handling the arrangements, they will pay for the site and bill the resident.
The Columbarium and Cremains Garden at Hollywood Cemetery. Columbarium Niches sell for $900 and are suitable for two cremains and burial of cremains in the Garden is $500 and the scattering of ashes in the Scattering Garden is $200. The Columbarium at Armstrong Cemetery sells for the same price.

General Cemetery Cleanup Schedule & Report Problems
In order to keep the City cemeteries well cared for and attractive, there are two general clean-ups where ALL flowers (including artificial) and decorative ornaments are removed. The clean-ups are held the last FULL week in February and the last FULL week in July. Families should remove any items that they would like to keep before the clean-up week.
City crews routinely inspect all cemeteries, mowing grass and trimming shrubbery. Please report problems, including damaged fences or monuments, to the city at the contact information below.
