Housing and Community Engagement

The Housing and Community Engagement Department is responsible for programs and services that help improve the livability of neighborhoods and public areas by focusing on housing programs, outdoor beautification, recycling, litter abatement, environmental education, and related community services.
 
The Housing and Community Engagement Department houses four different divisions including the Alliance for Community Enrichment (A.C.E.) Program, Community Development, Gastonia Sister Cities, and Keep Gastonia Beautiful. Each of these divisions make efforts to connect with citizens of Gastonia and develop initiatives to enhance relationships, improve the environment, and promote the sustatainability of the City's residential areas.
 
Offices for Housing and Community Engagement are located in the Garland Municipal Business Center at 150 S. York Street on the second floor.
