Housing and Community Engagement

The Housing and Community Engagement Department provides resources that educate residents and invite them to help build a more attractive and inclusive Gastonia. The department includes the Housing Division and the Community Engagement and Programs Division, which oversees Community Development, the Alliance for Community Enrichment (ACE), Keep Gastonia Beautiful, Gastonia Sister Cities, and the Neighborhood Program.

Educates residents and encourages everyday actions that improve and beautify our community’s environment.

Gastonia Sister Cities

Promotes friendship and mutual understanding with communities in other countries through education, culture, economic development, and dialogue.

Neighborhood Program

Works with neighborhood groups to help residents stay connected and involved in their community.
