City of Gastonia Announces its ‘Top Five for 2026’

The City of Gastonia has released its annual ‘Top Five’ list. This year’s ‘Top Five for 2026’ highlights some of the main projects residents and businesses have to look forward to for the remainder of the year, which includes two highly anticipated grand openings.

Top Five for 2026

  1. Linwood Springs Park – Anticipated grand opening of Phase 1 in summer/fall 2026
  2. Schiele Museum of Natural History’s Elizabeth Williams Robinson Hall of Dinosaurs – Anticipated grand opening in fall 2026
  3. 107 S. Broad St. – Currently undergoing renovations to house the future Active Adult Center
  4. 2022 GO Bonds for Transportation – Remaining funds to be released in near future to fund proposed projects
  5. Southeast Utility Extension Project – Anticipated completion of Phase 2 in 2026
