Gastonia, N.C.- May 1, 2023 - Detectives from the Gastonia Police Department (GPD) are investigating the April 29 early morning homicide of 25-year-old Demallon Lamarea Anthony White of Gastonia.
Just before 5:30 a.m. on April 29, GPD officers responded to an apartment in the 1100 block of Pebblestone Way for the report of a shooting that just occurred.
Responding officers located White in a bedroom of the apartment suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately rendered first-aid until fire and rescue personnel arrived. White was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing two to three possible suspects fleeing the area after the shots were fired.
This remains an active investigation and there is no additional suspect information available at this time.
